The born Team's Analysis
The born Job Advertising Index continued its rise in August, up 14 points.
Generalist boards experienced more significant rises in advertising volumes than their specialist counterparts. Overall advertising volumes for generalist boards grew over 10% on the previous month.
Despite smaller rises in advertising volumes, the specialist markets have shown signs of returning to pre-summer levels. In total specialist advertising rose 1.3% after a 2.7% decline in July.
Of the specialist sectors included in the index, job advertising in Education continued to decline, as did Law Enforcement and, to a lesser degree, Accountancy & Finance. The Human Resources sector experienced good growth.
