The born Team's Analysis
The born Job Advertising Index dipped by 3 points in March, declining to 55 points, a less than encouraging level.
The deflated value of the index, 40 points lower than the same time last year, highlights the difficulties in the UK's online recruitment sector.
Overall the average year-on-year decline in advertising volumes, on the job boards tracked by the index, was 38%.
A number of niche job boards are managing to beat the trend however; several sites in the public and education sector displayed single digit year-on-year advertising volume increases.
