The born Team's Analysis

The born Job Advertising Index remained static in October, rising just 1 point.

The index now sits at its July level of 105, despite peeking at 119 points in August.

Overall, the main generalist boards experienced little change in total job advertising volumes, with average job advertising figures at some key job boards significantly lower than during the August peek.

Several generalist job boards did however make gains against their September figures. For example, a selection of generalist job boards affiliated with newspaper portals experienced 'above anticipated' growth.

Of the niche sectors covered by the index, Education and Law Enforcement saw volumes dip after a rise in September, while Marketing & Media and Engineering experienced growth.
